Diane Reitano is the founder and creator behind Little Monkey Designs.

Diane studied graphic design at Durham College in her hometown of Oshawa, Ontario, and worked in the field for 10 years. After her first son was born Diane suffered from PPD/PPA. The one positive thing she took from her struggles was that life is too short not to follow your dreams and do what you have always truly wanted to. After a few months of group therapy and treatment she started to feel more like her bubbly self again. Diane knew that she wanted to enjoy every moment with her son, and that working from home would allow her that freedom. She decided to resign from her corporate job and start a new chapter.

Diane’s son Benjamin and his favourite stuffed animal “Little Monkey” inspired her to create a full line of completely customizable and modern Personalized Growth Charts, pillows, blankets and more. After debuting her line at local baby shows, Diane received an overwhelming positive response. She decided to open up shop, and the rest, as they say, is history. Since its launch, Diane has welcomed her second “Little Monkey”, Cristian, and is always working on adding new designs to her shop.

Every month, Diane and Little Monkey Designs donates a portion of proceeds to the CAMH Centre for Addiction and Mental Health foundation. It’s a cause close to her heart. 1 in 5 Canadians will experience mental illness in any given year. That means someone you know is affected—a friend, a colleague or a family member. Diane walks her talk, and is a true inspiration.

Little Monkey Designs creates unique and custom designs that are fun and imaginative including Personalized Growth Charts, Pillows & Invites. They use the finest materials and archival inks, ensuring their keepsakes last for years to come. Diane’s fun-loving “Little Monkeys” Benjamin and Cristian inspire her in what she creates every day!
