MAKER STORIES
Glory Days Home

Astrid Therien is a handmade entrepreneur at heart. Launching her first business at the age of 18, Astrid found her calling and a way to express her creative side. She’s had handmade small businesses ever since, selling at markets and retailers all over Ontario through the last few decades. Although Astrid’s products have changed over the years to suit current fashions and her own stages of life, she has always remained true to herself and her passions; a lifelong loves of old music, vintage cars, old friends , heritage homes and the many styles of decor which accompany a lifetime of memories.
Glory Days Home Decor is Astrid’s current venture. Offering vintage inspired home accents, Glory Days is inspired by her move to the country. Living in the Kawartha Lakes, Astrid has embraced country decor, style and the deep sense of family that heritage small town living brings. She combines this sensibility with current design, resulting in home decor pieces that truly represent the glory days.
"This is what I am inspired by and what Glory Days Home means to me. 'Love the past. Live the now.'" - Astrid Therien
The Glory Days Home line conveys this modern heritage style through warm, character-filled materials such as live edge wood, natural fabrics, distressed paint, and rusted metals. Although the Glory Days Home line is predominantly live edge wood pieces at this time, Astrid sees it growing to include other home decor. Her goals for the future include expanding not only her product line, but her presence in markets and retail locations.
